Helen's original career path originated when she studied A level computer science, leading her into the world of software programming and IT and culminated in her being a Database Administrator. It was during this period of her life that she began to look for something different. In 1996 she re-started her IT career after several years as a full-time mother and also began her journey of self-discovery, which was the beginning of her interest in crystals and holistic healing. The very first workshop she attended was a Crystal Massage weekend and that became the launchpad for her desire to become a complementary therapist. Helen began with a course in Anatomy & Physiology, followed by a number of different crystal therapy courses ranging from correspondence course to formal classroom to an accredited 2-year diploma course. Alongside this Helen started on her Reiki path, initially for personal reasons and achieved Reiki Master Teacher in 2005.Helen worked part-time in the world of IT as a qualified tutor for nearly 9 years before taking voluntary redundancy, during which time she continued to develop her skills as a therapist and further her knowledge in complementary therapies including:Reflexology & Hot Stones ReflexologyHolistic MassageThai Foot MassageOn-Site Massage & AcupressureStress Management Practitioner CourseAromatherapyBach Flower Remedies levels 1 & 2In 2011 Helen finally took all the nudges and hints from the Universe to begin teaching & developing her own courses & workshops and she currently delivers Reiki Level 1, 2 and 3 Master Practitioner & Master Teacher, accredited courses in Crystal Therapy and one-day workshops on topics such as Meditation with Mandalas, Introduction to Crystals, Caring for Your Chakras and much more.
